KTMB Offers 50 Per Cent Discount To Motorcyclists

KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 (Bernama) -- Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is offering 50 per cent discount to motorcyclists travelling on the intercity commuter from selected stations from Monday.

The discounted tickets are sold from 10am to 4pm from Monday to Friday at the Seremban, Nilai, Kajang, Bandar Tasik Selatan, Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Kuala Lumpur (the old main station), Kepong Sentral, Sungai Buloh and Rawang stations, said KTMB in a statement.

It said discount would also be given for a return journey between Seremban-Kuala Lumpur and Rawang-Kuala Lumpur routes.

"Motorcyclists are required to produce their parking receipts or road tax with the motorcycle keys to be eligible for the discount.

"The motorcyclists are entitled to two discount tickets, one for them and another for pillion riders. The tickets are valid only on the day they are purchased," it said.

KTMB said the promotion was part of its drive to encourage motorcyclists to travel by train and help reduce accidents involving motorcyclists.
